Skills & requirements Your essential skills and experience:

  • Commercial experience working in a fast paced, Agile (Scrum or similar) software development environment.
  • Four or more years of solid commercial Python experience.
  • Experience in development of RESTful Services and API’s.
  • Experience working with relational database systems and SQL. We work intensively with PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
  • Experience in writing good unit tests for your code.
  • Solid Linux/Unix knowledge. Our base systems are Redhat/CentOS/Fedora.
  • Basic experience on container technologies, specially Docker.
  • A strong drive and interest to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

It would be ideal if you also have experience in:

  • Geo-Spatial technologies and/or GeoServer.
  • Web development: HTML (HTML5 & CSS) and Javascript.
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration systems, specially working with (and also configuring/managing) Jenkins.
  • AWS.
  • Atlassian Jira managed workflows.
