Sr. Platforms Engineer

This is an opportunity to join one of the most advanced and fastest growing tech companies in the logistics and supply chain space. Having secured $12.7M in Series A funding earlier this year, we are in hyper-growth mode to support our expanding customer and product base. In the last year alone, we've seen our revenue stream, customer base, and digital activity grow by 5x! This newly created position will be an integral part of our Engineering team as we embark on the next phase of our growth.

As our company grows rapidly, our tech infrastructure is growing rapidly as well. To scale and make sure our platform is performant, we need someone defining key health metrics, improving on existing tech architecture, and constantly monitoring what can be improved across our systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with product and engineering to make sure existing and new tech architecture scales well
• Develop internal tools and processes to standardize and automate how we work together
• Be the owner of Parade Engineering product health

What Success Would Look Like in Your First Few Months

• Outline what a healthy platform looks like for Parade
• Set database optimization strategy
• Automate current deployments using Kubernetes on GCP
• Define best security practices across the engineering organization

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• 3+ years as a Platform, Devops, or Site Reliability Engineer
• Professional experience in development or scripting
• Professional experience working with highly distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Certifications - the more the better!
• Experience working with a B2B SaaS company
• Scripting experience with Python or JavaScript
