We are searching for a Sr. Back-end Software Engineer!

First off, what is CyberGRX?

CyberGRX provides enterprises and their third parties with the most cost-effective and scalable approach to third-party cyber risk management today. Built on the market's first third-party cyber risk Exchange, CyberGRX arms organizations with a dynamic stream of third party-data and advanced analytics so they can efficiently manage, monitor and mitigate risk in their partner ecosystems.

What a day in the life looks like:

  • You will have a strong understanding of Python 3, an understanding of GIL and its limitations, Asyncio, and an appreciation for and understanding of code quality and PEP8.
  • You will understand microservices architectures and have a good understanding of RESTful APIs (some public interfaces) and GraphQL (most of our interfaces, and our strategic direction going forward.)
  • As a back-end engineer you won’t be directly responsible for AWS management, but familiarity with the AWS environment will be a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with third-party components such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker in general, ElasticSearch and Kibana will be a plus.
  • We use a graph database called Neo4J – possibly not familiar to you, but an opportunity to learn.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes will be a strong plus.

What you bring to the table:

  • You will be a key contributor in the design and development of our microservices architecture and our overall platform.
  • You will be part of a small focused team of 8-12 engineers focused on back-end technology, and will work with 8-12 engineers focused on front-end (Javascript/React/web client) technology.
  • You have demonstrable prior experience building 24/7, high-availability B2B SaaS platforms on the AWS platform.
  • You have an appreciation for unit and functional test strategies, test automation in general, and recognize that these are responsibilities shared across both Development and Test teams.
  • You will be a collaborative engineer, working with DevOps and System Test teams to understand our full stack and ensure our architectural vision remains coordinated, well-understood, and built-to-last.
